After 25 years of retailing Model Railways, 21 of which we have specialised in American HO, we have decided to close the business and make more time for ourselves and pursue other interests.
The following is how it will work leading up to the final shutdown on the 30th September 2020.
• Friday the 21st February 2020 will be the LAST DAY of trading from our Yeovil Road Slough shop which will then be closed and the premises vacated.
• From the above date to the end of September 2020 we will be ON-LINE ONLY.
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2020 - IN VIEW OF THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 WE ARE NOW EXTENDING OUR CLOSING DATE. WE WILL REVIEW THIS ON A REGULAR BASIS. BUT THE FIRST EXTENSION WILL BE TO THE 31ST OCTOBER 2020.
UPDATE OCTOBER 2020 - OUR CLOSING DATE IS NOW EXTENDED TO THE 31ST DECEMBER 2020. We will review the position again during December.
UPDATE DECEMBER 2020 - OUR CLOSING DATE IS NOW EXTENDED TO THE 31ST MARCH 2021. We will review the position again during March 2021.
UPDATE MARCH 2021 - OUR CLOSING DATE IS NOW EXTENDED TO THE 30TH JUNE 2021. We will review the position again during June 2021.
UPDATE JUNE 2021 - OUR CLOSING DATE IS NOW EXTENDED TO THE 30TH SEPTEMBER 2021. We will review the position again during September 2021.
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2021 - OUR CLOSING DATE IS NOW EXTENDED TO THE END OF 2021. We will review the position again during December 2021.
• From the 22nd February 2020 to the 28th February 2020 we will not be in a position to dispatch any parcels as our remaining stock will be in transit. If we can resume dispatching earlier we will.
• All Scaletrains items currently on order will be supplied. We are not accepting any further orders for this manufacturer's products.
• Any items currently on order for Athearn group products that arrive before we close will be supplied. Anything outstanding at this time will not. We will contact affected customers at that time. We are not accepting any further pre-orders for this manufacturer's products.
UPDATE JULY 2020 - WE WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE ATHEARN BACKORDER ONLY.
• There will be no further re-stock of Peco group products from the time we close our Yeovil Road shop.
• Any items currently on order with those manufacturers not mentioned above that arrive before we finally close will be supplied.
• We will only accept orders for products that are part off the Walthers group of products or are listed/distributed by Walthers and any products listed/distributed by Gaugemaster or Expo Tools, that are either in stock or due to arrive before we finally close.
• Delivery dates set by the manufacturers are an indication only and can drift. Unfortunately, if any delivery dates drift beyond our final closing date we will not be able to supply the product(s).
• Our web site will continue to show some products as 'Temporarily Out Of Stock'. Products so marked would usually be automatically restocked. However, from now on, this comment will only be an indication of those products that we could obtain to order for you. PLEASE NOTE - The price shown on the web site for such products could be higher or lower than the actual price obtained at the time of your order. Look at the 'How To Order' section in the grey header bar on our web site for further details. Such products will now be considered as non listed items for ordering purposes. If there is going to be an issue with supply we will let you know at the time of your order.
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2020 - TO MAKE IT EASIER TO SEE WHAT PRODUCTS WE STILL HAVE AVAILABLE IN STOCK, OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT FEW WEEKS WE WILL BE DELETING ALL ITEMS THAT ARE CURRENTLY SHOWING AS 'TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK'. WE WILL OF COURSE STILL ACCEPT ORDERS FROM YOU FOR PRODUCTS THAT ARE STILL AVAILABLE FROM OUR SUPPLIERS AS NOTED ABOVE.
UPDATE MARCH 2022 - WE ARE NOW IN THE FINAL FEW WEEKS OF CLOSING COMPLETELY. LOTS OF GREAT DEALS, SO GET THEM WHILE WE STILL HAVE THEM!
